How to Use Private Browsing or Incognito Mode
Private browsing lets you surf the web without saving history, cookies, or search data. Here’s how to open private browsing on popular browsers and devices.
Google Chrome
Open Incognito Mode
On desktop, click the three-dot menu and select New Incognito Window.
On mobile, tap the three-dot menu and choose New Incognito Tab.
Mozilla Firefox
Open Private Browsing
On desktop, click the hamburger menu and select New Private Window.
On mobile, tap the mask icon or menu and select New Private Tab.
Safari
Open Private Browsing
On Mac, click File > New Private Window.
On iPhone, open Safari, tap the tabs icon, then tap Private.
Microsoft Edge
Open InPrivate Browsing
On desktop, click the three-dot menu and select New InPrivate Window.
On mobile, tap the three-dot menu and select New InPrivate Tab.
